Town Hall 10 or TH10 (in short) is quite an important stage in Clash of Clans.
In TH10, players often get confused about attack strategies.
As there are a variety of troops and spells available in TH10, it is very common for them to worry about the attack strategy they should use to 3-star a base, in war or a normal attack.
To solve that issue, I've decided to come up with this article.
In this article, I'm going to provide you with the top 5 most powerful Town Hall 10 attack strategies that work like a charm!
So, without any further ado, let's dive right into it!
1. The Hybrid Army Attack Strategy
The Hybrid Army attack strategy is one of the easiest attack strategies that has the potential to deliver amazing results!
To use this strategy, you need the following army:
- 3 Archers
- 8 Wall Breakers
- 3 Balloons
- 2 Wizards
- 5 Healers
- 2 Minions
- 1 Baby Dragon
- 19 Miners
- 7 Hog Riders in the Clan Castle
- 2 Heal spells
- 3 Rage spells
- 1 Freeze spell
- 1 Poison spell in the Clan Castle
- Barbarian King
- Archer Queen
- Siege Barracks (Optional, in the Clan Castle)
Now, let's talk about how to use this attack strategy.
At first, you need to deploy the Archer Queen along with 5 Healers.
While doing so, make sure that the Archer Queen can:
- Clean around 25-30% of the base.
- Take down opponent's clan castle troops.
Once the Queen gets engaged in attacking, deploy 3 Balloons and 1 Baby Dragon around it so that they can help in cleaning the outskirts of the base, and thus facilitate the creation of a funnel.
Once the nearby defenses are engaged in attacking, deploy the Wall Breakers so that they can break the walls and create a space for funneling.
Make sure that you are using the Archer Queen and the other troops (balloons, baby dragons, and wall breakers) from a side where there is no Inferno Tower.
If there is any Inferno Tower nearby, it would easily destroy the wall breakers and you won't be able to create a funnel.
To defeat the Clan Castle troops of the opponent, you can use the poison spell (brought in CC).
You can also use 1 or 2 rage spells on the Archer Queen and the healers if needed.
Once the Clan Castle troops are taken down, deploy the Siege Barracks near the Archer Queen, at one side of the base.
If you don't have Siege Barracks, you need not release the CC (Clan Castle) troops now.
Just deploy the Barbarian King, followed by some wizards.
The main thing you should focus on is that the rest of the troops should be deployed around the Archer Queen only.
This is done so that the healers can take a shift and start to heal the other troops when needed.
Once the outskirts of the base are cleared, deploy the miners.
Make sure that the miners go inside the base. They should not be distracted by buildings kept outside the main base.
Once the deployed troops and the opponent's defenses get active, break the Siege Barracks (if you're using it) to deploy the hog riders (in CC) at once.
If you're not using Siege Barracks, just deploy the hog riders near the Queen or Barbarian King.
Use the freeze spell when the miners or hog riders are in trouble.
You can use it especially for freezing the Inferno Towers or X-bows.
Once the hog riders and the miners get into the core of the base, you can use the heal spell and the leftover rage spell when required.
Deploy the leftover troops such as archers, wizards, and minions to clean the leftover buildings outside the main base once 90-95% of the defenses are destroyed.
If you're using the Siege Barracks (as a Clan Castle donation), you'll get an advantage while using this strategy.
This is because you'll get a P.E.K.K.A and some wizards along with the rest of the army.
But, if you don't get Siege Barracks as a donation, you can still use the Hybrid army attack strategy.
Just make sure that you don't start the Queen attack from a point where there are inferno towers nearby. In that case, the attack strategy might not work well.
If the CC troops of the opponent do not come out, use a few miners or hog riders (from your CC) to bring them out. Then, you can take them down, make the funnel, and sweep the opponent's entire base.
That's the Hybrid Army attack strategy.
It's very simple, powerful, and rewarding!
2. The Zap Dragon Attack Strategy
The Zap Dragon Attack Strategy is a very powerful and easy-to-use attack strategy in Town Hall 10.
For this attack strategy, you require the following army:
- 8 Balloons
- 8 Dragons
- 1 Lava Hound
- 1 Baby Dragon
- 3 Balloons and 1 Dragon in Clan Castle
- 6 Lightning Spells
- 2 Rage Spells
- 1 Poison Spell
- 1 Earthquake spell in Clan Castle
- 1 Stone Slammer in Clan Castle
- Barbarian King
- Archer Queen
To use this strategy, you need to make sure that at least two air defenses come under the range of destruction of one earthquake spell.
If you find that two air defenses won't be under the range of destruction of one earthquake spell, you can still use this attack strategy. But, you will require one more earthquake spell.
Now, let's see how this attack strategy works.
At first, you need to locate the air defenses in the base.
If two air defenses are close to each other and come under the range of destruction of one earthquake spell, then you can use 3 Lightning Spells on each of the two air defenses and then use an Earthquake spell to destroy both the air defenses at once.
If the two air defenses are not close to each other, you'll have to use an extra earthquake spell to destroy both the air defenses.
In that case, you need to use 3 Lightning Spells on each of the two air defenses, and then use one Earthquake spell on each of the two air defenses to destroy them.
Therefore, firstly, you need to destroy any 2 of the air defenses in this manner.
Then, out of the leftover 2 air defenses, one has to be destroyed through the heroes (Barbarian King and Archer Queen).
The other one has to be destroyed using the main army.
Also, while doing the attack, make sure that you're starting the dragon attack from the side opposite to the range of air sweepers.
After you destroy two of the 4 air defenses, deploy the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen in such a way that they are close to one of the 2 leftover air defenses.
Around the heroes, deploy 1 Balloon and 1 Baby dragon so that they can start to clean the outskirts of the base.
Let them move into the base and destroy the air defense.
For the other air defense, use the Stone Slammer (brought through Clan Castle), along with the rest of the army.
With the Stone Slammer, deploy the balloons around it and a Lava Hound.
Then, behind them, deploy the dragons in a way that they go inside the main base.
The Lava Hound is used so that it protects the dragons (which are behind them) from defenses and seeking air mines.
If there are any troops in the CC of the opponent, you can use the poison spell.
If required, you can also use the rage spell.
Once the main troops are deployed, you can also release your CC (Clan Castle) troops consisting of 3 Balloons and 1 Dragon with the rest of the army if required.
Deploy the leftover Rage spell whenever required.
Let the army sweep the entire base and in time, you will easily 3-star base!
That's the Zap Dragon Attack Strategy.
The strategy uses the power of dragons and is very simple yet rewarding!
3. The Gowipe Attack Strategy
The Gowipe strategy is a very old strategy that was earlier widely popular among TH10 players.
Now also, it is very powerful and can be used to dominate in an attack against a TH10 base.
To use this strategy, you need the following army:
- 1 Archer
- 11 Wizards
- 3 P.E.K.K.A
- 4 Golems
- 7 Hog Riders in the Clan Castle
- 1 Heal Spell
- 1 Poison Spell
- 8 Earthquake Spell
- 1 Skeleton Spell in the Clan Castle
- 1 Siege Barracks (as a donation in the Clan Castle)
For this strategy, getting a Siege Barracks is very important.
This attack greatly benefits from the PEKKA and Wizards deployed by the Siege Barracks.
Moreover, the heal spell should not be used for the Hog Riders. They should primarily be used for healing the PEKKAs.
For the Hog Riders, the skeleton spell has to be used so that the skeletons deployed can distract the defenses, and in the meantime, the Hog Riders can destroy the distracted defenses.
Firstly, to use this attack strategy, you will need to try to open the entire base by destroying most of the walls.
Drop 4 earthquake spells each on the wall sets so that almost the entire base becomes accessible by the troops directly, with no walls in between.
You can start the attack by focusing on one corner.
From one corner of the base such that the entire base is accessible by the army and the walls are also destroyed, deploy the four golems side by side.
Deploy 2 wizards each behind the four golems.
The golems would distract the defenses and heroes, and the wizards can take advantage and start destroying some of the buildings in the outskirts of the base.
Make sure that most of the buildings in the outskirts of the base at one corner are destroyed and a funnel can be created from the corner.
Once some of the buildings of the base in the corner are destroyed, deploy the 3 PEKKAs, Barbarian King, Archer Queen in the corner such that they enter the main base and not get distracted by any other building outside the main base.
Deploy the Siege Barracks in the corner as well, so that it can supply a PEKKA and some wizards simultaneously.
For this attack strategy to be successful, you need to make sure that all the main troops move into the main base (towards the core).
For taking down the CC troops of the opponent, the Archer Queen, Barbarian King, Pekka, and wizards are enough. You can also use the poison spell for this purpose.
Once the front defenses are destroyed, you can break the Siege Barracks and let the Hog Riders move into the base.
Near the defenses that the Hog Riders target, drop a skeleton spell so that the skeletons generated can distract those defenses.
In the meantime, the Hog Riders can destroy the defenses.
Once 90% of the defenses are destroyed, deploy the archer and the rest of the wizards to destroy the rest of the buildings.
Use the heal spell on the PEKKA, wizards, or heroes when necessary.
To use this strategy properly, you need to keep two things in your mind:
- You should be able to open the entire base by using Earthquake spells to destroy the walls. All the troops should be able to move into the main part of the base and navigate easily.
- The PEKKAs, golems, and the heroes must enter into the main part of the base. They should not move outside the main part and destroy the buildings in the outskirts of the base.
That's the Gowipe attack strategy for Town Hall 10.
It is very easy to use, powerful, and rewarding! It can 3-star most of the TH10 bases in Clash of Clans.
4. The Zap Lava Loon Attack Strategy
This attack strategy is a little bit tough to use, but with practice, one can master it easily.
You require the following army for using this strategy:
- 2 Archers
- 24 Balloons
- 9 Minions
- 3 Lava Hounds
- 1 Baby Dragon
- 3 Balloons and 1 Dragon in the Clan Castle
- 3 Lightning spells
- 3 Freeze spells
- 1 Poison spell
- 4 Haste spells
- 1 Lightning spell in the Clan Castle
- Barbarian King
- Archer Queen
- 1 Stone Slammer as a donation in the Clan Castle
Now, let us learn how to use this strategy to 3-star almost any TH10 base.
Firstly, you'll have to take down the opponent's Archer Queen using lightning spells.
Therefore, drop the Lightning spells (including the one brought in the Clan Castle) on the Archer Queen.
Note: If the Archer Queen is very close to an air sweeper, you can drop the Lightning spells on the Queen such that both the Archer Queen and the air sweeper are destroyed.
Once the opponent's Archer Queen is destroyed, you need to lure the opponent's Clan Castle troops using a few balloons.
If the Clan Castle is situated in the center of the base, use a haste spell to help the balloons lure the Clan Castle troops of the opponent.
Once the CC troops of the opponent are lured, in one of the corners of the base, deploy your Barbarian King and Archer Queen.
Once the opponent's CC troops arrive, drop a poison spell and let the Archer Queen destroy them. If needed, you can also deploy a Baby Dragon for this purpose.
In case an Electro Dragon comes out, you can use the freeze spell along with the poison spell, heroes, and the Baby Dragon.
Once the opponent's CC troops are destroyed, you can start the main attack.
Use the heroes to destroy one of the air defenses if possible.
Then, deploy two Lava Hounds followed by 10-12 Balloons in such a way that they are near a particular air defense.
Deploy the Stone Slammer near the Balloons and then, deploy 5-6 Minions behind them.
Use the leftover Lava Hound on another side (with an air defense nearby), followed by the rest of the Balloons.
Drop the Freeze spells especially on the Inferno Towers (and Air Sweepers, if needed) when they become active.
Drop the Haste spells when you need them to accelerate the air troops, particularly the Balloons.
Once 90% of the defenses are destroyed, deploy the leftover archers, and minions to destroy the rest of the buildings in the outskirts of the base.
When required, you can break the Stone Slammer and release the 3 Balloons and the Dragon.
That's it!
That was the Zap Lava Loon attack strategy. It can 3-star almost every Town Hall 10 base available in the game.
It's indeed a little bit tough to learn, but with practice, you can master it.
5. The Pekka Hog Attack Strategy
This attack strategy is very powerful and easy to use.
For using this strategy, you'll require the following army:
- 2 Archers
- 7 Wizards
- 4 PEKKAs
- 22 Hog Riders
- 1 Giant and 5 Bowlers in Clan Castle
- 4 Heal spells
- 1 Rage spell
- 1 Poison spell
- 1 Poison spell in Clan Castle
- Barbarian King
- Archer Queen
- Wall Wrecker as a donation in Clan Castle
You can also use a Log Launcher as a donation in the Clan Castle, in place of Wall Wrecker, if you want to destroy an Inferno Tower that comes in your way while attacking.
Otherwise, you can use a Wall Wrecker only (as a CC donation).
Now, let us see how this strategy works.
You'll have to attack the base from a particular side, from where you can take down the Archer Queen and at the same time, lure the opponent's CC troops.
Once you've selected the required side, deploy four PEKKAs side by side, each followed by one wizard.
Then, deploy the Wall Wrecker so that it can start developing a funnel.
You need to make sure that the PEKKAs and the wizards can go inside the main base through this funnel.
Once the WW (Wall Wrecker) starts breaking some walls, deploy the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen so that they can also enter the base through the funnel created.
Once the opponent's CC (Clan Castle) troops are lured, use the poison spells on them and take them down using the Archer Queen, Barbarian King, PEKKAs, or wizards.
As soon as the Wall Wrecker breaks, drop a Heal spell and a Rage spell on the released CC troops (1 Giant and 5 Bowlers).
You'll see that the released CC troops and the heroes can easily destroy 50-65% of the entire base.
Then, deploy the Hog Riders so that they can clean up the rest of the defenses.
Use the leftover Heal spells on the Hog Riders when required.
If any poison spell is left, you can use them on the skeletons (if any) that attack the Hog Riders from the skeleton traps.
Once 85-90% of the defenses in the base are destroyed, deploy the leftover troops such as archers and wizards so that they can clean up the buildings in the outskirts of the base.
Then, the troops will destroy the entire base.
That's the Pekka Hog Attack Strategy.
It's very powerful and rewarding!
