Warframe, developed and published by Digital Extremes, is quite a popular game.
The game has a huge player base, which keeps on increasing!
When a player starts playing the game, a lot of questions come to the player's mind!
One of the most common questions that come to the players' minds is regarding the internet data usage of Warframe.
So, how much internet data does Warframe use?
On average, Warframe uses around 40-80 MB of internet data per hour which is relatively less than most of the MMORPG games similar to it.
The data usage of Warframe might be higher if one uses the voice chat while playing the game. But, it generally stays under 120 MB per hour.
In this article, I've answered this question in more detail.
I've also answered another related question that comes to a lot of Warframe players' minds!
So, without any further ado, let's start!
Internet data usage of Warframe
To find the actual internet data usage of Warframe, I did some research.
The research was quite similar to the one that I did to find the data usage of Genshin Impact.
I asked my friends who played Warframe to monitor the data usage when they played the game.
I've also monitored the data usage of the game on my device.
I and my friends played the game for one hour straight and recorded the data usage.
I found out that the data usage of Warframe on the different devices was in the range of 45 to 60 MB per hour.
But, in the majority of the devices, the total data used was around 52 MB in one hour.
Thereby, we can conclude that the data usage of Warframe is around 52 MB per hour.
Now, we can also derive the total data used by the game in one week, or one month or even more, from the data usage per hour.
If one plays Warframe for one hour every day in one week, the total data used by the game in one week would be around 364 MB.
Similarly, if one plays Warframe for one hour every day in one month, the internet data used would be around 1.52 GB in one month!
Now, you might want to figure out the data used by Warframe according to the duration for which you have played the game.
To help you with it, I've created a table based on the same.
I've also done all the required math so that you don't have to!
Following is the required table:
Playtime per day | Data usage per day | Data usage per week | Data usage per month |
---|---|---|---|
1 hour | 52 MB | 364 MB | 1.52 GB |
2 hours | 104 MB | 728 MB | 3.04 GB |
3 hours | 156 MB | 1.06 GB | 4.57 GB |
4 hours | 208 MB | 1.42 GB | 6.09 GB |
5 hours | 260 MB | 1.77 GB | 7.61 GB |
6 hours | 312 MB | 2.13 GB | 9.14 GB |
7 hours | 364 MB | 2.48 GB | 10.66 GB |
Note: The data usage per hour of the game has been taken as 52 MB per hour in the above table.
Does Warframe use a LOT of internet data?
Warframe's internet data usage (around 52 MB per hour) might seem to be slightly higher than most of the games available in the market.
But, it certainly does not use a lot of internet data when compared with the high data consuming MMORPG titles such as Black Desert Online.
Conclusion
In this article, I've answered one of the most common questions that come to the Warframe players' minds regarding the game's data usage.
I've also answered another related question that is quite common among the Warframe players.
