Rocket League, developed and published by Psyonix, is one of the most popular games in the gaming world!
It has got a large player base as well.
When players start playing the game, they have a large number of questions in their minds.
One of the most common questions that comes to the Rocket League players' minds is regarding the data usage of Rocket League.
They can't help but wonder, how much Internet data does Rocket League use?
On average, Rocket League uses around 30 to 50 MB of internet data per hour.
The data usage of the game might vary depending on the game settings used, but it generally stays under 65 MB per hour.
In this article, I've answered this question in more detail.
I've also answered another related question that comes to a lot of Rocket League players' minds!
So, without any further ado, let's start!
Internet Data Usage of Rocket League
I did some research to find the actual internet data usage of Rocket League.
I asked all my friends who play the game, to monitor the data used by the game when playing.
Meanwhile, I also did the same thing.
All of us played Rocket League for one hour at a stretch and then recorded the data used by the game.
After doing so, I found out that the internet data usage of Rocket League on the different devices was in the range of 35 to 50 MB per hour.
But, in the majority of the devices, the total data used by the game in one hour was around 42 MB.
Thereby, we can conclude that the internet data usage of Rocket League is around 42 MB per hour.
From here, we can calculate the internet data used by the game on a weekly/monthly basis!
If one plays Rocket League for one hour every day in one week, the total internet data used would be around 294 MB in one week.
Likewise, if one plays Rocket League for one hour every day in one month, the total internet data used in one month would be around 1.23 GB.
Now, what is the internet data usage per match in Rocket League?
Each Rocket League match lasts for around 5 minutes, consuming around 3 to 6 MB of internet data.
During the research, each of the matches played by my friends and me used up around 3.8 MB of data.
You might now want to know the internet data used by Rocket League according to the duration for which you have played the game.
To help you figure out the same, I've prepared a table.
I've also done all the required math, so you don't have to!
Following is the table:
Playtime per day | Data usage per day | Data usage per week | Data usage per month |
---|---|---|---|
1 hour | 42 MB | 294 MB | 1.23 GB |
